Is AI the Future of Content Generation?

The future of artificial intelligence (AI) is certainly a debatable one. There has been a great debate on whether artificial intelligence will evolve into a superintelligence that reflects humanity, or will it merely be an advanced version of data analysis and statistical inference. However, one thing's for certain that there will be an increase in machines that are able to perform tasks in more autonomous and efficient ways than we could have ever imagined in the near future. According to Russell and Norvig, “AI is the study of agents that exist in an environment and perceive and act.”

And speaking of innovations in AI Technology, one of the eye-catching trends today ought to be AI-generated content. Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), which is an innovation in the field of Machine Learning has caught a lot of attention in recent years. These generative models cleverly utilizes training data to learn patterns and generate new data that look resembles the original input. For instance, this technology will give the ability to create digital images that look like photos of real people, wherein, one can stare into the eyes of a stranger who doesn’t exist; artificially generated images of human faces via This technology is mostly used for entertainment and filter apps, and is continuously learning as it operates. It is being fed with an enormous amount of our history, stories and personal information. However, 50 percent of people who witnessed were uncomfortable with not being able to tell the difference between human and machine.

Advancements in AI Creativity

There has been a belief that artificial intelligence may become more and more powerful over time due to the changing nature of its media consumption. But, there is still a doubt whether artificial intelligence can match the human touch when it comes to thinking creatively. However, the Associated Press has been using AI to report on Minor League Baseball for years which shows how well versed AI can be. Also, last year, the Guardian went one step further, publishing an op-ed article authored entirely and entertainingly by OpenAI’s language generator GPT-3. There have been so many advancements in Language generators that even researchers are finding it hard to find the difference, wherein, they admitted that even the famous Turing Test is no longer sufficient to tell man from machine.

“[As] more language models are made… it’s going to be harder to figure out if a machine generated an article,” said Adaku Uchendu, doctoral student at the Penn State College of Information Sciences and Technology where the research was conducted. “So, we have to improve our detection models even further.”

“The ultimate goal of this work would be to enforce some kind of disclaimer on an article that states that it is machine generated,” Uchendu continues. “If people are aware, then they can do more fact checking when an article is machine generated.”

Understanding the Aftermath

While raising another angle, Ericsson Principal Researcher, Rebecka Cedering Ångström said that humans will need to deepen the questions and considerations in order to live harmoniously with AI technology in the future. He stated, "What makes us think machine writing needs greater fact checking? Humans are just as biased – they can be wrong and often write with an underlying agenda. We should focus less on who is writing, and more on who is sending the message. Or take it a step further – who will we allow to make the greatest mistakes? Are we more likely to forgive a falsely written article by a machine or human? Or what about a missed diagnosis from an AI or a human doctor? These are important questions we, as a society, need to consider."

Human-like AI Content Generation

Today, machine-learning algorithms are getting advancened in such a way that it can write articles from scratch. Cutting-edge technology for marketers and SEOs. For instance, Kafkai is a machine-learning algorithm which will prove to be cutting-edge technology for marketers and SEOs by offering unique and readable content generated by AI Writer. Article Forge is another robust AI Content Generator software which is affordable and comes with the power of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning technology to write high-quality content. Another noteworthy AI Content Generator software is Rytr, which is an AI-powered article generator and writing assistant that helps in developing high-quality, compelling content in no time at a most cost-effective price.
