The predicted chosen 11 for the ICC world cup 2023 squad

The national cricket board may have begun the proceedings to choose the best players for the playing 11. Not even a year for the contest, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is expected to begin by October next year. In India, the event is set to take place in October and November. The event will feature ten cricketing nations.

With respect to Indian team, few new faces made the debut and performed well back in the past. I think the main criteria to pick the players are based on their performance, fitness and should be free from injury. Ahead of the cricket world cup, everyone is performing well as they have an opportunity to be a part of the squad. India has talented players in the side. However, picking the 11 players for the world cup could be a tactical task.

The Hit Man of the Team - Rohit Sharma

He can give a rising start which helps the team to jump forward. The batsman is really dangerous when he gets going and is an obstacle to the opposition. This may be the last time we see Rohit Sharma play for men in blue for the world cup.

The Gabbar - Shikhar Dhawan

The numbers may tell you he is unimpressive in recent times. Nevertheless, the selection committee should take into account his performance in the last world cup and his ability to score runs quickly. He is in excellent physical shape and is raring to go.

The Man of Aggression – Virat Kohli

The man requires no introduction. The whole Indian population has tremendous expectation from him that he will end the world cup season with victories. Let us hope the run machine will maintain his consistency throughout the tournament.

The New Mr 360 – Surya Kumar Yadav

The new consistent player of the team who has done extremely well in the past tournaments and has become a crucial element. I can’t even imagine playing 11 without Surya. His potential to increase the run rate is high.

Rishabh Pant

He is an attacking batsman and a match winner. Though he had a bit of a challenging season in the past, he can still show his magic with the bat and behind the stumps. The best wicketkeeper choice for the world cup.

Hardik Pandya

The hard hitter who can turn the game away from the opposition. He is also phenomenal in the field and a wicket taking bowler. He undergone back surgery in the past and made a comeback which was phenomenal.

The Jaddu – Ravindra Jadeja

One of the best fielders India has produced. Though he is a bit expensive in bowling, he gives breakthroughs at the right time. Never imagine a team without this man.  In the absence of him, Axar patel or Washington Sundar could be the smarter choice.

Lala – Mohammed shami

Yes! He is a little expensive. However, getting wickets in key circumstances has a significant impact on the team and can even result in a game-changing moment. Mohammed Siraj or Harshdeep Singh are the finest backup options for Shami because they have both contributed reasonably well to the team.

Bhuvi - Bhuvaneshwar Kumar

The bowler who is good in swinging the ball especially in the early over’s of the game. Taking the wicket early provides a good start to the team. Bhuvi is into the 30’s and few young bowlers are emerging, but still he is the right pick in the playing 11

Yuzvendra Chahal

When you give Chahal an opportunity, especially in the middle overs, he makes a crucial breakthrough for the side. He has proven himself numerous times. It doesn’t matter if you get consecutive boundaries or sixes; ending up with the important wicket turns the game. The Indian team's current best leg spinner and a must-pick for the World Cup.

Boom Boom Bumrah

He is the most consistent bowler in the bowling lineup. The right arm fast medium pacer is renowned for taking wickets in death over’s. He is very economical and cannot be replaced by anyone in the team. However, for the future, the selection committee should opt for a bowler who has the quality of boom boom.

Now it’s the role of back up players who should in the squad. The list is as under:

  1. KL Rahul
  2. Ishan Kishan
  3. Shreyas Iyer
  4. Sanju Samson
  5. Washington Sundar
  6. Axar patel
  7. Kuldeep Yadav
  8. Mohammed Siraj
  9. Harshdeep singh
  10. Deepak chahar
  11. Harshal patel
  12. Ravi bishnoi
  13. Rahul chahar

To sum up, let us anticipate that these 11 players are very impactful for the team. Maintaining consistency on their performance and fitness are the areas to success and make victory guaranteed. There might be few players who will be witnessed for the final time for the world cup and hopefully sign off in style.
