Demon Slayer Infinity Train The Movie

Demon Slayer Infinity Train The Movie

If you are a die-hard fan of the series Demon Slayer, the movie Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is on another level of depicting the story with incredible artwork and some mesmerizing iconic scenes. The manga, written by Koyoharu Gotouge, started back in 2016 and finished last year. It was wildly popular and loved by readers hence birthed an anime adaptation, which also saw massive success.

For those who have no knowledge about the Demon Slayer, it is set during the Taisho period and mainly deals with the secret war between demons and humans. The basic plot of the series deals with protagonist Tanjiro and his half-human sister Nezuko, who was also transformed into a demon, though manages to retain some of her humanity. Tanjiro loses his family to vicious demons who feed on human flesh which led him to join Demon slayer Corp and later team-ups with Zentsu and Inosuke.

In brief Demon Slayer is a complex and intense manga, the anime is depicted similarly. This latest movie is to bridge the gap between seasons one and two and set us up for the second season.

Nevertheless, this movie was received with a record-breaking number in terms of the Japanese box office during its theatrical run. What’s more interesting and impressive, was that this all happened during the pandemic or in-times of COVID-19. It was time for some refreshment and Demon Slayer: Mugen Train delivered more than it was expected. Without a doubt, it is the best movie of the year, but it will be a bit of a swamp if you have not seen the anime series.

It is available on Apple TV, Crunchyroll, etc. depending on the location while the prequel is available for streaming on Netflix across the world. It is also the highest-grossing anime movie till date.

The movie starts with our main characters boarding a mysterious train, they encounter the Flame Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, Kyojuro Rengoku. He explains that several people have recently been disappearing on this train and that Corp thinks a demon is responsible.

As it turns out, a demon called Enmu puts everyone on the train to sleep by its unique demon powers, including the Demon Slayers, with a plan to eat them up later.

The dream sequences are incredibly interesting and the main characters have some amazing action scenes with engaging fight sequences. Although the movie gives the needed exposition to people who have not seen the anime, it is recommended to watch the first season of Demon Slayer.

While the Tanjiro is a decent protagonist, the movie is mainly carried by the Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku. All the main characters team up to fight Enmu but it turns out that he is not the only demon to be defeated.

The final battle is the epi-center and main attraction to watch this movie, it is depicted in a highest manner with some amazing music to an emotional and exciting battle against a strong opponent.

Overall, the movie is very enjoyable and it is a must-watch for every otaku. However, the movie is not yet released in India, it is scheduled to be released on respective digital platforms. Nevertheless, it is available on Apple TV, Crunchyroll, etc. depending on the location while the prequel is available for streaming on Netflix across the world. It is also the highest-grossing anime movie till date.
